Streaming movie service 'IndieFlix' announced today it will make "Finding Kind," a documentary about meanness in girl world, available exclusively on IndieFlix.com from March 1-15. The documentary follows two friends who travel across the US to expose the truth about girl bullying. It has screened in nearly 1,000 schools internationally, and currently screens somewhere in America every day during the school year.

Indieflix CEO, Scilla Andreen and filmmakers Lauren Paul and Molly Thompson feel it is important to make the film more accessible to those who don't see it in their schools. Bullying, especially between girls, continues to be a crisis across the country. According to a 2014 study sponsored by the US Department of Health and Human Services, 83% of girls and 79% of boys reported being bullied either in school or online sometime during their years in school.

Andreen says, "When I first watched 'Finding Kind,' it reminded me of when I was bullied and all the mean girls I encountered. This film is a change agent. It transforms the way we treat each other and demonstrates the power of film.' We have always screened it offline because we felt it was important to watch with a group and then have a conversation. Now we want to make it available for a brief time for those who could not afford a screening or were unable to attend a screening in their community."

The filmmakers will also be promoting the film on a national speaking tour before and during the two-week release. To watch the documentary during the free trial, visit indieflix.com and click on 'Finding Kind.' You can also access IndiFlix on Roku, Xbox, FireTV, iOS and Sony.

About the Movie

In 'Finding Kind,' filmmakers Lauren Paul and Molly Thompson, who met while in school at Pepperdine University, set out in a cross-country journey of discovery and education.

Interviewing women and girls along the way about their lives and experiences, Paul and Thompson find, among all of the unique personal stories, some Universal truths about growing up as girls.

'Finding Kind' is a document of that journey, and of the filmmakers' quest to take these experiences and find a common ground of kindness and mutual respect. In addition to all of the individual girls and women who share their personal experiences about girl on girl bullying with the filmmakers, Paul and Thompsoninclude interviews with respected experts and authors in the fields of psychology, education, and the interrelationships of women and girls.
