Fergie Denies X FACTOR Judging Rumors

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Fergie, lead singer for The Black Eyed Peas, denied rumors that she will be among the new judges on Fox's THE X FACTOR when the series returns for its second season. 

Commented the performer, "I know there were talks last season and this season. But ... Simon said before [that] timing is everything and it’s not the right time for me." Fergie went on to say that it would not be fair to the show's contestants to take on the job if she was unable to give it her full attention. 

The singer is one of many superstars rumored to be considering a gig with the singing competition. LeAnn Rimes' husband Eddie Cibrian confirmed that she is currently in discussions with the show. "They've been talking," Cibrian told "Extra." "I have no idea what's going on with that. I think they've been talking to a lot of people."

Recently it was reported that George Clooney's girlfriend and former pro wrestler Stacy Keibler, is  in talks to host Season 2. Other stars reportedly considering a spot on the show are Janet Jackson and Britney Spears

Judges Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones weren't asked back for Season 2 of the show.
