'Face Of Winter' Celebrates The Late, Great Warren Miller

In its 69th feature film Face of Winter, Warren Miller Entertainment celebrates its founder Warren Miller, the man who became known as the face of winter throughout the ski industry, and the places and people he influenced along the way. Warren passed away in 2018.

As is customary, doors open at 6:30 p.m. with popcorn, concessions, and fresh pours by Uberbrew for those 21 and older. Emcee Tim Hedin of SkiBoot Rx will have the latest ski gear to demo. To help raise funds for Alberta Bair Theater, movie goers can buy raffle tickets for super cool gift BASKETS by Ski Station, The Base Camp and other local snow sports retailers.

This year, new and veteran athletes come together in Face of Winter to pay tribute to the man who started it all, including Jonny Moseley, Marcus Caston, Seth Wescott, Forrest Jillson, Kaylin Richardson, Dash Longe, Anna Segal, Michael "Bird" Shaffer, and featured athletes of the U.S. Cross Country Ski Team, including gold medalist, Jessie Diggins. Watch as they visit some of Warren's favorite places from Engleberg to Chamonix, British Columbia to Alaska, Chile, Iceland, New Zealand and more.

"The film is for anyone whose life (whether they realize it or not) was impacted by Warren Miller," says WME Managing Director Andy Hawk. "We are all the face of winter-from the athletes to the audience to the locals in far-off destinations or even at our home mountain. Warren recognized this, and this year's film celebrates that."

This independent screening of Face of Winter sponsored by Dietrich & Associates, ClockTower Inn/Stella's, Uberbrew and The Zone 96.3. Tickets, $19 general admission, are available at the Alberta Bair Theater Box Office on the corner of 3rd Ave N and N Broadway, by phone at 406-256-6052 (box office hours are Monday through Friday, 10-5; Saturday 10-3) and/or online at www.albertabairtheater.org.
