FX Inks New Overall Deal with FARGO Creator Noah Hawley

Emmy(R)-winning Executive Producer and writer Noah Hawley has reached a new three-year overall production deal with FX Productions and FX Networks, it was announced today by John Landgraf, CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions. Under the deal, Hawley will develop numerous new projects while remaining the Creator and Showrunner of the Emmy(R), Golden Globe(R) and Peabody Winning Limited Series Fargo.

"In a remarkably short time, Noah has proven himself to be one of the best writers and showrunners in television with the stunning, back-to-back success of the FARGO franchise," Landgraf said. "He loves to challenge himself creatively and has a gift for making complex stories engaging and entertaining. We are excited to continue to work closely with Noah and offer all the support he needs to fully realize his vision for these new projects."

The second installment of Fargo, which concludes Monday night, today received three Golden Globe nominations - Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Kirsten Dunst), and Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Patrick Wilson). In addition, FARGO currently ranks as the most critically-acclaimed television series of 2015 on Metacritic with a score of 96 out of 100, and ranked #1 among all shows this year in the fifth-annual HitFix Critics' Television Poll. FX has ordered a third year of Fargo.

The first year of FARGO garnered universal critical acclaim and won three Emmy awards, including Outstanding Miniseries, as well as two Golden Globe awards, including Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

The current installment of FARGO concludes Monday, December 14 at 10 PM ET/PT on FX with the episode titled "Palindrome" in which Peggy and Ed make a run for it. The episode is written by Noah Hawley and directed by Adam Arkin.
