The international popularity of Disney's FROZEN continues to break records across the globe. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the animated film has now become the most-watched animated feature ever in South Korean theaters. It has also sold the most tickets during that country's long lunar New Year break, which takes place from Jan. 30 - Feb. 2. By the close of the holiday, nearly 6 million viewers purchased tickets to the hit movie, according to the Korean Film Council (KOFIC).

Frozen surpassed the animated film Kung Fu Panda 2, which held the record since 2011, attracting 5.06 million in admissions. It is predicted that the Disney movie will break 7 million in admission within the next week.

In addition, a sing-a-long version of the film, which hit U.S. theaters over the busy Super Bowl weekend, added an estimated $9.3 million to its box office take, up two percent from the prior weekend.

About Disney's Frozen:

Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind "Tangled" and "Wreck-It Ralph," presents "Frozen," a stunning big-screen comedyadventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey-teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven-to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.
