With 16 teams emerging from a sensational FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP 2015(TM) Group Stage that set new television audience records in the U.S., Fox Sports has set its broadcast teams for the first KNOCKOUT round, which begins Saturday, June 20. All matches in the Round of 16 are televised on Fox Sports 1.
JP Dellacamera, Tony DiCicco and Cat Whitehill, who called all three matches as the U.S. Women's National Team emerged as winners of Group D, call the undefeated Americans' Round of 16 match versus Colombia on Monday, June 22. Coverage begins at 7:00 PM ET on Fox Sports 1, with FOX Sports' USWNT insider Jenny Taft reporting from the sidelines. The surging audience for U.S. matches, which peaked with a Group Stage record 5.0 million viewers seeing the team defeat Nigeria 1-0 on June 16, has paced Fox Sports to a record-setting Women's World Cup. Dellacamera, DiCicco and Whitehill also call a crucial China-Cameroon affair with Julie Stewart-Binks on the sideline, Saturday, June 20 (7:30 PM ET) in Edmonton - the winner of which awaits the U.S. in the quarterfinals should the Americans beat Colombia two days later. Three additional broadcast teams are also on the call for FOX Sports' coverage of the Round of 16: Jenn Hildreth and Kyndra de St. Aubin; Justin Kutcher and Aly Wagner; and John Strong and Danielle Slaton. In addition, Stewart-Binks reports on site from two additional Round of 16 matches, Grant Wahl continues his role as a reporter at large and Dr. Joe Machnik provides expert analysis on key refereeing decisions.Videos
