According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox network has renewed its popular dance competition show 'So You Think You Can Dance' for a ninth season.  Fox president of Alternative Entertainment said in a statement today,"We are excited to bring the series and an incredible set of new dancers back for another fantastic season."

Dancer Melanie Moore was crowned winner of the show's Season 8, which aired this past summer. The show ranked No. 1 in its time period among the 18-49 demographic, as well coming in first for adults 18-34 and teens. The Emmy-nominated series is hosted by Cat Deeley.  Audition information for the upcoming Season 9 is expected to be announced in the near future.
