TVGuide reports that New Zealander Bret McKenzie (Flight of the Conchords) is developing an untitled animated comedy for FOX set in the world of NASA.

The comedy centers on a group of NASA employees at an nearly defunct space center in Boulder, Colo.

McKenzie will executive produce and write the project with Tony Gama-Lobo and Rebecca May (King of the Hill) for 20th Century FOX Television.

McKenzie is currently working on the music for The Muppets sequel. He last appeared on the big screen in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, as well as Austenland. He will next appear in The Hobbit: There and Back Again. McKenzie is best known for his work as part of the comedy duo Flight of the Conchords, alongside Jemaine Clement, for HBO.
