Actress, Maureen Teefy (FAME) is set to play a cameo in HOLLYWOOD GIRL, a short scripted drama based on the true story of stage and screen actress Peg Entwistle.

The film, penned and directed by James Pomichter, (LOVE, LUST & A ROOM KEY, SS DOOMTROOPER) is a dramatic imagination of the last day of the Welsh-born actresses life, who tragically committed suicide by jumping off the 'H' of the Hollywood sign in 1932, after she was cut from a movie.

Teefy is set to cameo as 'Arcadina' from THE SEAGULL in a flashback to Entwistle's Broadway days.

"I am so happy to have such a deeply talented cast, including the recent addition of Maureen Teefy, who will bring authenticity and grace to such a compelling story," said director James Pomichter. He added, "The media of the day had labeled Peg Entwistle, as a failed actress, that's not how I want to present her. Rather, as a beautiful and talented person, who, at the height of the Great Depression, fell victim to despair, as so many did at that time. Suicide is ugly, but the real irony to Peg's story, is that everything would have turned around for her had she held on for just a few more days."

HOLLYWOOD GIRL, produced by James Pomichter, Veronica Barriga, and Lara Fisher, stars Laura Liguori (SUBURGATORY), as Peg Entwistle. Other cast members include Michael Rothhaar and Daniel Riordan.

Teefy recently starred in her one-woman show, A SUBJECT FOR A SHORT STORY, in Culver City, which received rave reviews. Teefy's film credits include SUPERGIRL, GREASE 2 and Steven Spielberg's 1941.
