The Nov. 18 broadcast of FACE THE NATION kicked off with an interview with California Gov. Jerry Brown, who provided an update on the state's deadly wildfires and President Trump's visit to the region over the weekend. The show also had Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.), member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, who made headlines when he said there was "overwhelming" evidence that the Saudi Crown Prince was involved in journalist Jamal Khashoggi's death. Additional lawmakers on the show included Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), who defended troop deployment to the United States' southern border, and Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), who made the claim he will do "anything and everything" to make sure special counsel Robert Mueller's findings are made public.

FACE THE NATION's moderator Margaret Brennan also hosted a new member panel. Participants included representatives-elect Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas), Chrissy Houlahan (D-Penn.), Deb Haaland (D-N.M.), and Joe Neguse (D-Colo.). During the segment, Chrissy Houlahan and Neguse publicly announced they would back House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi to be Speaker of the House. The newly elected members also sparred over Trump's treatment of the press.

Margaret Brennan is the moderator of FACE THE NATION and Mary Hager is the executive producer of the Emmy Award-winning program, one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television.
