Entertainment One is teaming up with HBO and Academy Award winner Philip Seymour Hoffman's Cooper's Town Productions, on a new drama series, "Upstate". The series follows recently laid-off Roy Perkins as he relocates his family to rural America to become a correctional officer in a new private prison run for profit. As the town and his family prosper, Roy encounters conflict and danger inside and outside the prison walls.

eOne Television's Michael Rosenberg and Cooper's Town Productions' Philip Seymour Hoffman and Emily Ziff are executive producers. Brett C. Leonard ("Hung") & Bob Glaudini ("Jack Goes Boating") are writers and executive producers. The series marks the second partnership between eOne and HBO as the leading indie studio also produces HBO's hit series "Hung" which has been renewed for a third season and will air in HBO's summer schedule.
