Emily Dickinson Documentary MY LETTER TO THE WORLD, Narrated by Cynthia Nixon, Set for June 12 VOD/DVD Release

MY LETTER TO THE WORLD offers a rich examination of the life and work of one of America's greatest poets, with world experts and renowned scholars helping to unravel the enigma of Emily Dickinson, who has spent the 130 years since her death being pigeonholed as a mysterious recluse in white.

Directed and co-produced by Solon Papadopoulos, MY LETTER TO THE WORLD takes viewers on a journey through the seasons of Emily Dickinson's life in mid-1800s New England, exploring her experiences and relationships via her impassioned letters?and poems. As new theories come to light about both Dickinson's life and poetry, experts bring their often conflicting opinions to the screen.

The film also features behind-the-scenes clips from the filmmaker Terence Davies' award-winning Emily Dickinson 2016 biopic A Quiet Passion, which was co-produced by and stars Cynthia Nixon, who serves as MY LETTER TO THE WORLD's narrator.

"I think she's an extraordinary person," says Nixon of Dickinson. "I think whatever she would've done, whatever field and era she would've found herself in, she would've succeeded. And I think she would be astonished to see how not just famous she is, but how important she is to other writers and to readers all over the world."
