EIGHTH GRADE's Elsie Fisher Joins Animated THE ADDAM'S FAMILY Movie

Breakout star Elsie Fisher joins THE VOICE case of The Addams Family, in her first role since her critically acclaimed performance in Eighth Grade, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Fisher will voice Parker Needler, the daughter of Margaux Needler, the Addams Family nemesis.

MGM's animated feature is based on the work of cartoonist Charles Addams. The film is in production in Vancouver at Cinesite Studios and due to be released October 18, 2019. Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan are co-directing the animated feature.

Oscar Isaac will voice Gomez Addams with Charlize Theron is voicing Morticia. Chloe Grace Moretz is daughter Wednesday and Finn Wolfhard is son Pugsley. Rounding out the cast are Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester, Bette Midler as the grandmother and Allison Janney as nemesis Margaux Needler.

Matt Lieberman wrote the script for the film with revisions by Dan O'Keefe and Benjamin Garant. Producing the movie are Vernon; Gail Berman, via her shingle The Jackal Group; and Alex Schwartz. Executive producing are Kevin Miserocchi, Andrew Mittman and Joe Earley.

Fisher is best known for starring in Eighth Grade, one of the most acclaimed movies of the summer. Fisher also lent her voice to Universal's first two Despicable Me films, in voicing one of the young girls adopted by villain turned dad Gru.
