Actor Don Johnson is in talks to join the ABC comedy pilot 'Southern Discomfort', according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The comedy's premise centers on a conservative Texan (played by Johnson) whose children move back in with him turning his life upside down. 'Summerland's' Steve Talley will play the eldest son who rejects a baseball scholarship in order to pursue his dream of a writing career.

Don Johnson is best known to television audiences for playing 'Sonny Crockett' in the 1980's television cop series 'Miami Vice', for which he garnered a Golden Globe. Other television and film credits include 'Tin Cup', 'Nash Bridges', 'Born Yesterday', 'Goodbye Lover', 'Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man', 'Guilty as Sin', and 'In Pursuit of Honor'.
