The On Thin Ice episode, hosted on camera by legendary broadcaster and naturalist Sir David Attenborough and previously scheduled to air on April 15, will premiere at 8PM ET/PT on Earth Day, April 22. It will be immediately preceded by a 2-8PM ET/PT marathon of the Attenborough-narrated version of FROZEN PLANET.

Upcoming FROZEN PLANET premiere episodes are as follows:

Making Of - 4/8 8PM ET/PT

Life in the Freezer - 4/15 8PM ET/PT

On Thin Ice - 4/22 8PM ET/PT

A Discovery Channel/BBC co-production four years in the making, FROZEN PLANET is narrated by award-winning actor Alec Baldwin.

FROZEN PLANET provides the ultimate portrait of our earth's polar regions, where the scale and beauty of the scenery and sheer power of the natural elements are unlike anywhere else on the planet. To capture nature's majestic power - as well as its ultimate fragility - FROZEN PLANET's filmmakers utilized the latest cinematographic techniques and technology to capture groundbreaking imagery both above and below the ice in some of the most extreme and remote regions of our planet.
