DirecTV and Momentum TV Close to Deal for Neil LaBute's FULL CIRCLE Drama Series

According to Variety, DIRECTV and Momentum Television are close to settling on a deal for the 10-episode series "Full Circle", a drama penned by Neil LaBute, on its AUDIENCE Network channel. Production is set to begin in LA this June.

All 10, half-hour episodes have been written. "Full Circle" centers on a series of meetings between a group of characters at a restaurant. Created in "La Ronde" style, one character from each episode will continue in the next's story arc, and so on.

LaBute has also written pilots for HBO and Showtime. His film credits include In the Company of Men (New York Critics Circle Award for Best First Feature, Filmmakers' Trophy at the Sundance Film Festival), Your Friends and Neighbors, Nurse Betty, Possession, The Shape of Things - a film adaptation of his play by the same title - The Wicker Man, Lakeview Terrace and Death at a Funeral.

LaBute's many works as a playwright include: The Mercy Seat, Some Girl(s), Wrecks, The Shape of Things, The Distance From Here, This Is How It Goes, In a Dark Dark House, Escape: 6 Ways to Get Away (1 & 2), Fat Pig, The Break of Noon, Reasons to be Happy, reasons to be pretty, Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays, latter-day plays, Autobahn, Helter Skelter, The Furies, The War on Terror and more.

LaBute is the author of several fictional pieces that have been published in The New Yorker, The New York Times, Harper's Bazaar and Playboy, among others. A collection of his short stories was published by Grove/Atlantic.
