Delight And Disrupt All Five Senses With Nordo's 2019/2020 Season

Nordo announces its 11th season today dubbed as "Where the Tea Party Never Ends" and includes stories of an attic of wicked toys where you are the size of the dolls, to a titillating English Christmas village festooned with murder, a Victorian revenge thriller inspired by a popular poem from 1854 about the "perfect wife", a Nordo makeover of the classic Alice in Wonderland tale and, lastly, an immersive adventure in Japan's most haunted forest.

"Last season was the first one since opening The Culinarium that we produced every show, which allowed us to really dial in what makes the Nordo experience different," states Artistic Director Terry Podgorski. "And this season we're producing only five shows with longer runs so we can transform our space more completely for each one, and spend more time perfecting each menu."

Nordo boasts a history of collaboration with emerging and established artists in the area. True to its format a fourth sense is created transitioning works from a theatrical event into a full sensory immersive experience - transporting guests to a new world with music, performance and a four-course meal to match.

The meal at Nordo is never the same and Artistic Director and Executive Chef Erin Brindley has held pace for the last 10 years. "I'm lucky to be involved in the creative process of the shows here at Nordo," said Chef Brindley. " When we're creating the menu we look deep inside the story for what will surprise people. Food is central to what we do -- we want food to enhance the experience of the guest but also the show."

This fall, you're invited to Violet's Attic, where playtime lasts forever. She'll feed you treats and play games, but don't cross her or it's "IN THE BOX!" for you. The Culinarium will transform into a world scaled to be seen from the button eyes of Violet's favorite dolls (you!) complete with a giant Jack in the Box and food fit for a doll party.

The Christmas Killings at Corgi Cliffs

Nothing says holiday cheer like murder! In the annual Scot Augustson "Dragatha Christie" offering sees the return of Butch Alice as Becky June Beasley-Jones, a small town girl who can't seem to stop solving crimes. NIGHT PARADE: The Ghost Forest

JUNE 12 - JULY 21

This deeply immersive piece takes place in Japan's famous Aokigahara Forest, notorious as "The Japanese Suicide Forest," during the Tanabata Festival. A western blogger is spirited away by the ghosts and demons of the forest after he mockingly posts a photo of a suicide to social media.
