According to Entertainment Weekly, Damien McGinty will be extending his run on the Fox hit show GLEE.  McGinty, who was one of two winners on Oxygen's 'The Glee Project' has been appearing on Glee in a seven episode arc in the role of 'Rory'.

The actor confirmed recent rumors that he will be hanging around the show for a few more episodes, commenting, "I found out this week that I am getting more than seven [episodes]. I am getting kept on. That's nice. That's what I was working towards. It's an early Christmas gift." When asked what the length of his extended stay will be on the show, McGinty said, "For how much longer, who knows? I am trying to learn to just enjoy things as they come."

McGinty is a member of the singing group Celtic Thunder, who have recently toured all over the world and have sold over one million CDs to date. He joined Celtic Thunder at the age of 14 in 2007 and has seen the group increasingly gain popularity in the US due to their constant touring schedule, four hit Public Television specials and multiple national television show appearances.

GLEE airs Tuesday at 8/7c on the Fox network.
