Lewis Black is as angry as ever in the network television premiere of Lewis Black: IN GOD WE RUST,  debuting on COMEDY CENTRAL on Friday, September 7 at 12:00 midnight ET/PT.

Black is a comedian like no other, and he brings his signature style to this new special, filmed at the historic State Theatre in Minneapolis, MN.  He rants about getting older, holidays that seem to be held in the wrong months, and his phone that doesn't make calls, but does seem to be exercising free will.  It all makes him angry, and his anger is oh so funny.

The "Lewis Black: In God We Rust" extended and uncensored Director's Cut Blu-ray and DVD, featuring never-before-seen material, will be released on September 11 by COMEDY CENTRAL Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment.  The bonus features include "The Walk-out," a hilarious deleted scene; a photo gallery; and promo shoot outtakes with Lewis and his father.  In addition, COMEDY CENTRAL Records will release the extended and uncensored CD on September 11, and the special will be available in HD on iTunes, Zune Video Marketplace on Xbox, Sony PlayStation Network, Amazon Instant Video, and Vudu.

Leading up to the on-air premiere, the COMEDY CENTRAL Stand-Up Web site will feature preview clips from the special, as well as exclusive clips from the DVD.

Black is one of the most prolific and popular performers working today and can be seen often on COMEDY CENTRAL's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" in the recurring segment "Back in Black."  He has also been seen on "COMEDY CENTRAL Presents," "Larry King Live," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," "The Late Show with David Letterman," "Rachel Maddow Show," and "Countdown with Keith Olbermann."

Black brings his latest stand-up show, "Running on Empty," to Broadway from October 9-14 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.  His previous specials and concert films include "Black On Broadway," "Red, White and Screwed," and "Stark Raving Black," and his comedy CDs include "The White Album," which was released in 2000 to much critical acclaim.  Black has garnered four GRAMMY® nominations and wins for his "Anticipation" and "The Carnegie Hall Performance" albums.

Winner of Best Male Stand-Up at the American Comedy Awards in 2001, Black performs over 200 nights a year to sold-out audiences throughout Europe, New Zealand, Canada and The United States, at theatres including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Brooks Atkinson Theatre, New York City Center and the Mirage in Las Vegas.  He also has published three books, written over 40 plays, and dedicates much of his time to charitable organizations including the 52nd Street Project.

"Lewis Black: In God We Rust" is executive produced by Black, JoAnne Astrow, and Mark Lonow, and directed by Adam Dubin.
