Comedian and Writer Amber Ruffin to Host 70th Annual Writers Guild Awards

Variety announced today that comedian Amber Ruffin is set to host the 70th annual Writers Guild Awards. The awards will happen in New York City on February 11, 2018. Read the full variety article here!

Ruffin has been a writer and on screen personality on NBC's LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS. She is featured in such recurring bits as 'Amber Says What' and 'Jokes Seth Can't Tell'. When she started work at LATE NIGHT back in 2014, she became the first black women in the United States to write for a network late night program.

It was also previously reported that NBC is working on developing a semi-autobiographical series on the writer. The comedy series is called GOING DUTCH, and is is co-created with Michael Starrbury.
