Deadline reports that Christopher McQuarrie will direct the upcoming film adaptation of Jean-Patrick Manchette's THREE TO KILL, starring Colin Firth.

Andrew Lauren Productions is financing the project, which will be produced by Lauren with Laura Bickford. Howard Rodman will pen the script.

THREE TO KILL centers on a businessman who witnesses a murder and goes on the run from the killers.

Firth last starred on screen in The Railway Man and Devil's Knot, which debuted at this year's Toronto International Film Festival. His upcoming projects include Before I Go to Sleep, Magic in the Moonlight, Paddington, The Secret Service and Genius. His recent movie credits include Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The King's Speech, A Single Man, Dorian Gray, Mamma Mia! and more.

McQuarrie's directing credits include The Way of the Gun, Jack Reacher and the upcoming Mission: Impossible 5. He has written Edge of Tomorrow, The Tourist and the TV series Persons Unknown, among other credits.
