Christoph Waltz to Star in Warner Bros TARZAN?

Variety reports that Christoph Waltz may be tapped to play the villain in Warner Bros.upcoming film TARZAN. The actor would join previously announced cast member Alexander Skarsgard on the project from director David Yates. The latest screen adaptation of the classic tale will be produced by Jerry Weintraub, Alan Riche, Mike Richardson and Yates.

According to the report, Waltz may portray "a military figure that crosses paths with the King of the Jungle." Margot Robbie and Emma Stone are among the actresses currently being considered to take on the role of 'Jane.'

Waltz is best known for his works withfilmmaker Quentin Tarantino including "Django Unchained" which won him his second Oscar for best supporting actor. He received acclaim for his supporting roles as SS-Colonel Hans Landa in Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds (2009).
