Chris Colfer to Star in Own Film, Struck By Lightning

Variety reports today that GLEE star Chris Colfer will be making his film debut in Struck by Lightning, a comedy produced by David Permut ("Youth in Revolt"). Colfer wrote the script for the film, which will go into production next summer with a director to be announced.  No other casting details have been released.

Colfer's manager Glenn Rigberg will serve as the film's executive producer. Steve Longi, Permut's production VP is co-producing. 

Prior to GLEE, Colfer starred as Russel Fish in the independent film, Russel Fish: The Sausage and Eggs Incident.
