As first reported in The Hollywood Reporter, fashion guru Carson Kressley, and actresses Carrie Fisher and Emmanuelle Vaugier are set to star in a Hallmark Channel new original movie entitled 'Caroling' for the 2012 holiday season.

The movie will be a modern day version of the Charles Dickens classic 'A Christmas Carol'.  It will tell the story of Carol Huffman, to be played by Vaugier, a very successful and heartless executive in Chicago's publishing industry.  She is somewhat of a loner who has no time for personal interaction and leads a staff who feels great animosity towards her.

Carson Kressley, who most recently charmed TV audiences on ABC's Dancing With the Stars, will play the role of Huffman's co-worker who is organizing a covert uprising against his cruel boss.  Carrie Fisher, most recently seen in her one-woman show on HBO called 'Wishful Drinking', is the company's founder who will lead Huffman through a series of journeys that will revisit her past, present and future and lead to some harsh realizations about the way she has treated others.

Production for the film has begun in Vancouver.  The film is from Carol Street Productions and will be executive produced by Michael Goldstein and Michael Larkin and produced by Harvey Kahn. The script is penned by William Penick and Chris Sey and the project is being directed by Michael M. Scott
