NBCUniversal communications executive, Cameron Blanchard, has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications for NBCUniversal, it was announced today. Blanchard, who will report to Adam Miller, Executive Vice President, NBCUniversal, will spearhead the development and execution of NBCUniversal's media relations strategy and will serve as a principal corporate media spokesperson across NBCUniversal’s networks and business divisions. Her position, which becomes effective October 22, 2012, was previously held by Kathy Kelly-Brown who was recently named to oversee communications for the entire NBCUniversal News Group.
In her new role, Blanchard will have direct oversight for all NBCUniversal corporate communications functions including ad sales, research, cable distribution, legal affairs, diversity, NBC stations and affiliates, internal communications. Additionally, her communications responsibilities include NBCUniversal’s impressive portfolio of cable entertainment networks -- including the No. 1 cable network USA, Syfy, G4, E!, Bravo Media, Oxygen Media, Style Media and mun2; as well as the Spanish language broadcast network Telemundo, and the digital businesses Fandango, DailyCandy and iVillage."Cameron is perfect for this position," said Miller. In this position, Blanchard was responsible for building brand awareness and developing and executing strategic initiatives on behalf of a diverse portfolio including Telemundo Media, Bravo Media, mun2, Oxygen Media, Sprout, Style Media, DailyCandy, Fandango, iVillage, and the company-wide Integrated Media initiatives. From 2006 to 2011, Blanchard oversaw all communications strategies and outreach for Bravo Media, adding Oxygen Media to her purview in 2008 after NBC Universal acquired that cable network.Videos
