According to Deadline, Callum Keith Rennie (Battlestar Galactica) is the latest actor to sign on for Universal and Focus Features' FIFTY SHADES OF GREY film adaptation. FIFTY SHADES will star Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey alongside Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, with Rennie cast as Steele's stepfather 'Ray Steele'.

It was recently announced that the opening of Sam Taylor-Johnson's adaptation of EL James' racy best-seller FIFTY SHADES OF GREY has been delayed from its original August 1, 2014 release date to February 13, 2015. Filming on FIFTY SHADES began this month.

Dylan Neal will take on the role of 'Bob', Anastasia Steele's stepfather and current husband to her mother Carla (Jennifer Ehle). True Blood star Luke Grimes will portray 'Elliot Grey', the brother of Christian, while Eloise Mumford will play Anastasia's roommate, and Rita Ora will play Grey's adopted sister. Oscar winner Marcia Gay Harden has also signed on to play Grey's mother.

Rennie will next appear on the big screen in The Young And Prodigious TS Spivet, Ride, Sitting on the Edge of Marlene and Hell in a Handbag. His past credits include TV's Californication, The Firm, The Killing, CSI: Miami, Rookie Blue, Alphas, Shattered, 24, Harper's Island, Battlestar Galactica, and more.
