According to Deadline, NBC has given series orders to CONSTANTINE, from executive producers Daniel Cerone & David S. Goyer and director Neil Marshall, and NBC, Warner Bros. Television and DC Entertainment, and THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA with Debra Messing from Greg Berlanti.

In CONSTANTINE, Matt Ryan stars as the titular character, which follows enigmatic and irreverent Liverpool con-man-turned-occult-detective John Constantine, who is reluctantly thrust into the role of defending our world against dark forces from beyond.

Featured in hundreds of comic book issues, John Constantine has been a DC Comics staple since his first appearance as a supporting character in Swamp Thing in 1985. The character was subsequently featured in his own bestselling Hellblazer and Constantine comic book series.

CONSTANTINE is executive produced by Daniel Cerone (The Mentalist, Dexter) and David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight films, Man of Steel). Neil Marshall (The Descent, Game of Thrones) is directing from a teleplay by Daniel Cerone, with story by Daniel Cerone & David S. Goyer.

In THE MYSTERIES OF LAURA, Messing plays Detective Laura Diamond, a female homicide detective who can handle criminals - but not her hell-raising twin children.

Project is based on Spanish series "Los Misterios De Laura," with Jeff Rake penning the Stateside version. Rake serves as exec producer on the hourlong drama with Greg Berlanti and Aaron Kaplan. Melissa Kellner Berman is co-exec producer.

Berlanti Prods. and Kapital Entertainment are producing "Mysteries of Laura" in association with Warner Bros. TV. The original Spanish series was created by Carlos Vila and Javier Holgado for Boomerang TV and TVE1 Spain.
