The hits were dirty, fast and hard. We are happy to report that Rob Lowe walked away unscathed; Ann Coulter, well that's a whole other story. Nothing was off limits at this year's annual Comedy Central Roast. Lowe was pelted with jokes about his sex tape, nannies, and his acting career, yet it was Coulter who felt the sharpest barbs from the left and from the right. Comedian David Spade served as Roast Master for the two-hour special which taped at Sony Studios on Saturday, August 27 in Los Angeles. The COMEDY CENTRAL ROAST OF ROB LOWE premieres on Labor Day, Monday, September 5 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central and will be simulcast on SPIKE and TV Land.
This year's Roast will also feature the first-ever Facebook Live Roast Post Show immediately following Monday night's premiere. Hosted by "Roast Battle" winner Mike Lawrence and semi-finalist Earl Skakel, the Roast Post Show will treat viewers to the ultimate insider's guide to everything Roast. From goings on between takes to Roaster reactions, Lawrence and Skakel dish the dirt. For the #LoweRoast premiere, the #1 brand in comedy is also leveraging the full power of its social media presence, with platform-specific Roast content going out via Comedy Central's Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter accounts throughout the debut. For the first time ever, fans will be able to experience the Roast through a premium Facebook 360 experience, with an up close and personal view of the highly anticipated entrance of Rob Lowe from all angles. It's the ultimate front row seat. Fan can also see exclusive behind-the-scenes Facebook videos hosted by "Roast Battle" MC Brian Moses, photos of the night's biggest celebrities taken in the Roast's official red-carpet Instagram booth, and celeb selfies via Twitter Mirror from @comedycentral. Clips from the Roast premiere will also roll out on cc.com/roast throughout the night.Videos
