CBS's THE LATE SHOW Continues Late Night Leadership and Growth

THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT placed first again in the weekly late night ratings, winning the week by +390,000 viewers, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending May 12. THE LATE SHOW topped "The Tonight Show" in viewers (3.07m vs. 2.68m, +15%) for the 15th consecutive week. This is the first time CBS beat "The Tonight Show" in viewers for 15 consecutive weeks since the week ending Oct. 9, 2009 to the week ending Jan. 15, 2010. Compared to the same week last year, THE LATE SHOW is up +25%.

Stephen Colbert brings his signature satire and comedy to THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT where he talks with an eclectic mix of guests about what is new and relevant in the worlds of politics, entertainment, business, music, technology and more.

Featuring bandleader Jon Batiste with his band Stay Human, the show is broadcast from the historic and newly renovated Ed Sullivan Theater. Stephen Colbert took over as host, executive producer and writer of THE LATE SHOW on Sept. 8, 2015.
