FACE THE NATION is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs program in viewers television year-to-date, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is averaging 3.59 million viewers and 0.7/04 in adults 25-54. FACE THE NATION was up +2% in viewers (3.59m from 3.52m). During the same period, NBC's "Meet the Press" declined -13%, while ABC's "This Week" DROPPED -15%. The Oct. 22 broadcast opened with an update on the Niger attack from Michael Morell, former acting CIA director and CBS News senior national security contributor, and David Martin, CBS News' national security correspondent. John Dickerson was then joined by Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), followed by OMB Director Mick Mulvaney. Next Dickerson interviewed Khizr Khan, Gold Star father and author of An American Family: A Memoir of Hope and Sacrifice, followed by Nate Boyer, former NFL player and U.S. Army Green Beret. The political roundtable featured Slate and CBS News political analyst Jamelle Bouie; TIME's Michael Duffy; Politico's Susan Glasser; and National Review's Rich Lowry.Videos
