CBS SUNDAY MORNING, the nation's #1 Sunday morning news program, posted audience gains year-to-year, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Oct. 29.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 5.73 million viewers and 1.0/06 in adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +6% in viewers (from 5.43m). CBS SUNDAY MORNING was the #1 Sunday morning news program in both measures.
Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is delivering 5.75 million viewers, up +2% from 5.64 million this time last year, and a 1.1/06 with adults 25-54. CBS SUNDAY MORNING is the #1 Sunday morning news program in both categories.
Jane Pauley anchored Sunday morning's broadcast, which featured Nancy Giles' cover story on the evolution in the business of magic. Also on the broadcast, Martha Teichner visited Savannah, Ga., which claims to be the most haunted city in America; Anthony Mason sat down with singer and actress Miley Cyrus; Luke Burbank caught up with Caitlin Doughty, unusual undertaker who is trying to change the way people think of death and funerals; Jane Pauley interviewed actor Michael J. Fox; Tracy Smith reported on the late comic Joan Rivers and her obsession for collecting her own archives; Lee Cowan talked with the "Halloween" director about what makes scary films; and Steve Hartman reported on the 50th anniversary of the "On the Road" features.
