CBS SUNDAY MORNING Posts 2nd Most-Watched Season & Best May Sweep Since 1987

CBS SUNDAY MORNING finished its 13th consecutive season as the #1 Sunday morning news program, according to Nielsen most current ratings. The broadcast delivered its second most-watched season in 28 years and the third consecutive season with audiences of 6 million or larger.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 6.05 million viewers and a 1.3/07 in adults 25-54 for the season, according to Nielsen.

For the May 2016 sweep, CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 5.92 million viewers (up +3% from 5.75 last year) and a 1.3/07 in adults 25-54, the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted its largest May Sweep audience since the advent of people meters in 1987, and was first in viewers and adults 25-54 among the Sunday morning news broadcasts.

And for the last week of the season, CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered 5.82 million viewers and a 1.3/08 on May 22, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.
