Entertainment Weekly reports that an outside attorney for the CBS network has filed for a temporary restraining order in U.S. District Court which would block ABC from premiering its new hidden casmera series THE GLASS HOUSE. The show is set to debut on June 18.

Last month, CBS accused its rival network of copying their long-running reality series 'Big Brother'. In addition to the many similarties that GLASS HOUSE shares with the CBS franchise, GLASS HOUSE Executive Producer Kenny Rosen admitted in a recent depsition that 27 or 28 former Big Brother employees are currently working on the ABC show. In the discovery phase of the law suit filed by CBS last month, the network also alleges copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation and breach of fiduciary against ABC and its parent, The Walt Disney Company.

In ABC's THE Glass House 14 contestants live together in a house and will have cameras following their day to day activities. In addition, the show will feature weekly challenges and eliminations. The last remaining contestant will win $250,000.

In response to CBS's actions, ABC said in a statement, “This is a naked attempt by CBS to stifle competition and creativity by claiming that reality techniques that have been developed over many years, on many shows by countless producers, are somehow exclusive to CBS.”
