The CBS Evening News WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted the largest year-to-year increase in adults 25-54 (+17%, 1.4/06 from 1.2/05) - the demographic most important to those who advertise in news - among the network evening news broadcasts for the week ending August 22, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings.
The CBS Evening News WITH SCOTT PELLEY is also up +12% in viewers (6.53m from 5.84m) compared to the same week last year. The CBS broadcast added +690,000 viewers compared to last year.
The CBS Evening News WITH SCOTT PELLEY delivered its largest audience of the summer (since the week ending May 2, 2014) and its best summer delivery in adults 25-54 (since the week ending May 16, 2014).
Season-to-date, the CBS Evening News WITH SCOTT PELLEY is up +5% in viewers (6.78m from 6.45m) compared to last year.
