'Bridesmaids' Star Wendi Mclendon-Covey to Guest Star on MODERN FAMILY

EWonline reports that Wendi McLendon-Covey will guest star on an upcoming episode the ABC hit comedy MODERN FAMILY.
According to the report, the actress will portray "one-half of a lesbian couple whose son gets into a fight with Lily on the first day of kindergarten." SNL cast member Michaela Watkins will play her partner. The actress told EW yesterday, “I can’t wait. I go in and film it tomorrow and Wednesday and Thursday. It’ll be pretty fun.” The Bridesmaids star revealed that she was thrilled to finally play a loving mother as she most often portrays "someone who hates her kids." Said the actress, "this time I love my child!”
In addition to her guest stint on ABC, the actress is currently working on a two-episode story arc to air on CBS's Rules of Engagement opposite David Spade’s character. She will soon appear in the ABC pilot 'Kings of Van Nuys', a reboot of the British sitcom 'Only Fools and Horses.'
