While etiquette dictates that it must be quiet on the golf course, those rules do not apply to the recording studio, where world-renowned composer and conductor Brian Tyler has completed work on a groundbreaking musical theme for the 115th U.S. Open Championship on FOX broadcast network and Fox Sports 1.

Tyler, who has scored more than 70 major motion pictures and recently received "Film Composer of the Year" honors at the 2014 Cue Awards, delivers a four-movement theme that captures the full range of competitive emotions and serves as the official soundtrack for FOX Sports' inaugural presentation of the U.S. Open, beginning Thursday, June 18 at Chambers Bay in University Place, Wash. "Brian is one of Hollywood's hottest composers and we were honored that he chose the 'U.S. Open on FOX' theme as his next big project," said George Greenberg, FOX Sports' Executive Vice President of Content Integration and Presentation. "His success speaks for itself and with all of the emotion and intensity of this piece, he has composed a theme for the ages." The full score was recorded with a 90-piece orchestra and spans 6:30, but is edited down into shorter pieces used throughout the broadcasts, setting the stage for the excitement and intensity of the action, while also reflecting the championship's moments of great rejoice and frustrating disappointment.
