People.com reports that ONE DIRECTION, the boy band that came in third place on the X FACTOR UK in 2010, has just signed a deal with Nickelodeon to develop their own TV show.

Nickoleon posted on its Twitter account last week, "The rumors are true, our live-action slate does include a development project for @onedirection. Welcome to the family!"

The popular singing group is comprised of Louis Tomlinson, 20; Zayn Malik, 19; Harry Styles, 18; Niall Horan, 18; and Liam Payne, 18. The band recently toured with Nickelodeon TV singing stars, Big Time Rush, and will be performing at the Kids' Choice Awards on March 31.

Styles told People, "A year ago we would never have expected any of this stuff that's happening now. We just want to keep working hard and making sure we keep on delivering the best we can and having fun and we'll see what happens."

The group's album "Up All Night," was released last week and is heading for the number spot on the charts.
