Bonnie Franklin Joins Cast of 'YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS'

EW.com reports that Bonnie Franklin will join the cast of the CBS daytime drama THE YOUND AND THE RESTLESS. The actress will play Sister Celeste, described as "a streetwise nun who lends Victor a helping hand." 

Franklin will begin filming on the show this week. Her first episodes are set to air in mid-August.

Franklin is best known for her work in the CBS comedy One Day at a Time. She recently appeared on TV Land’s Hot in Cleveland. The actress received a Tony nomination and Outer Critic and Theatre World awards for her performance in Applause. She appeared at the Paper Mill Playhouse in Millburn, NJ, in "George M!" and in "A Thousand Clowns.
