The two-night crossover event you've been waiting for is finally here. The cast of ARROW visit Central City, home of THE FLASH. Let's get you up to speed on what went down in "Flash vs. Arrow Part I" shall we?

We begin with Barry speeding around town doing various good deeds. He buys and deposits flowers at a table where an older couple is celebrating their anniversary, he paints a building for a guy. You know, normal things you do when you have super speed.

The villain of the week , Roy G. Bivolo (aka Rainbow Raider, played by Paul Anthony), enters a bank, he stares at people as his eyes go red and then their eyes go red. As everyone around him fights, he calmly empties the bank vault. Barry (Grant Gustin) arrives just in the nick of time to move a man out of the way of a bullet fired by one of the people gone crazy.

Across town, Det. Pretty Boy Thawne (Rick Cosnett) and Iris (Candice Patton) are doing some heavy petting until Eddie realizes Iris' dad will kill him if he's late again. Queue Iris picking up her tablet to see another posting of THE FLASH in action. Eddie is jealous. There's tons of foreshadowing. It's very George and Martha in WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF. They know how to push each other's buttons.

Back at the bank, Det. West (Jesse L. Martin) and Barry search for clues. Barry thinks it is the work of another metahuman able to manipulate other people's emotions.

I'm not thinking to much about it, though because Captain Singh (Patrick Sabongui) just outed himself when he tells Eddie that "my boyfriend has decided we need to eat healthy at home so work is now the only place I can eat what I like." This does not phase anyone in the scene. Fans of the comic, however, know that Singh dated villain turned hero vigilante The Pied Piper. I'm assuming at some point we'll meet the Captain's boyfriend. This makes me happy.

Eddie thinks THE FLASH needs to be investigate. The Captain tells him to go ask his girlfriend. They certainly are setting Eddie up to have motivation to be Professor Zoom (as his namesake character is in the comics).

Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, ), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) makes a joke about again in his best YODA voice and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) correctly calls it: Barry seems to be not only creating tension between Iris and Eddie, but he plans to take advantage of the fracture in their relationship. Caitlin tells him he doesn't want to be the reason for the couple's break-up. Basically, more foreshadowing that Eddie is going to be Professor Zoom (or, in the very least, a nemesis of THE FLASH).

Barry (in full FLASH gear) races over to flirt with Iris. She's trying to warn him that Eddie wants to have him locked up as a menace to society. Cisco ruins the mood with an update: the money had a tracer in it and they have the location.

West and the police arrive first. One of the cops gets "whammied" (as Barry puts in) and Barry arrives in the nick of time to push all of the other officers out of harm's way. Two arrows take the cop down. The camera pans over to ARROW (Stephen Amell).

On the outskirts of town, Barry meets up with part of team ARROW (Emily Bret Rickards as Felicity and David Ramsey as Diggle). Oliver arrives on his motorcycle. They're in town working a case (the deadly boomerang from the last episode of ARROW contains iron oxide for which Central City is famous). Barry proposes working together. Oliver says enough people already know his identity. Felicity says they already know her, so she'll go. Barry gives her a lift by picking her up and risking her back into town.

Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Det. West express their concerns about ARROW. Fans of that show know that ARROW was once wanted for murder. Det. West doesn't trust him.

At the coffee shop, Iris is fawning over Oliver. Oliver gives Barry the name of the guy from the bank. That is all that Oliver is hoping is the extent of Team Arrow's involvement in Barry's case. Felicity counters that West and Wells were bad mouthing ARROW and Barry defended him. Felicity wears Oliver down and he agrees to help.

At an abandoned factory, Oliver begins training Barry. His chief criticism is that Barry is too impulsive. He has the time (thanks to speed), so he should case each of the environments he fights bad guys in before --you know-- actually fighting bad guys. To demonstrate, he fires an arrow at Barry. Barry stops that arrow but misses the two crossbows behind him and he takes two arrows to the back. Good thing he heals fast.

Back at the precinct, Eddie is making the case to the Captain to form a task force to take down FLASH. Oliver obtained the name of this week's villain by putting an arrow into the leg of the innocent guy who rented a storage locker to Bivolo.

At S.T.A.R. Labs, Wells tries to get Felicity to spill ARROW's secret identity. She tells him "that' not my secret to tell." He vows to find out the information himself.

Cisco, meanwhile, has used facial recognition software ("Happy Hanukka," Felicity says about her gift to Team FLASH) and tracked down Bivolo. Felicity wants to call Oliver. Barry races off alone and gets whammied. The red eyes don't initially seem to effect him.

Except, of course, that he's a major jerk to just about everyone. He tells Caitlin she doesn't need to protect him because he isn't her dead boyfriend. He tells the Captain to back off when his boss dares to ask where they are in the investigation and he really lays into West for helping to put his dad behind bars. Barry's out of control.

And Wells finally has a new-found appreciation for ARROW. He tells Felicity to call Oliver Queen (yep, he figured out his secret identity just as he promised) as he is the only one who can stop THE FLASH.

As THE FLASH, Barry attacks Eddie as Iris pleads with him. Oliver quickly binds Barry and tells the couple to run. The two superheros have an epic battle. Barry has speed. Oliver has smarts. It's a draw. Wells and West arrive with a van filled with lights to counteract the whammy.

And with that, Team Arrow begins to pack up. They stop off at the coffee shop (java for the road). Ollie runs into a woman he used to date (who happens to have a kid; could it be Ollie's?). Iris tells THE FLASH she's done after his attempt to kill her boyfriend.

Final moment: Caitlin looks at a picture of her dead boyfriend. Across town, two thugs attempt to rough up a homeless guy. The guy is Caitlin's no longer dead boyfriend. His palms and then his head ignites. He has become FIRESTORM.

Hints of new villains, further alliances between the teams and a new hero! It packed a lot into one hour. What'd you guys think? Comment below and follow me @triggercric and follow @BWWTVWorld for all the latest updates, scoops and recaps.
