Never a good sign when "It's All Over" by Johnny Cash is the opening sequence. Not gonna lie, I AM STRESSED OUT! Forgive me if I'm not comforted in Dwight's words after the screen went black. This season has not been good for my blood pressure!

In the aftermath of Doctor Denise's death, our Alexandrians are rediscovering something that they thought they had all but banished: fear.

Carol's Fear - Killing more People

She has decided to take one of the spike-riddled cars on her escape. In doing so, she comes up against a group of five Saviors in a truck. They force her out of the car at gunpoint pumping her for information about Alexandria. Oh yes, they're well aware of it, so much that they were on their way there. She begs them to let her go, but they refuse. She is forced to gun them all down with the guns in her jacket. There are a few survivors which she manages to kill as well. All except one.

Morgan's Fear - Keeping up his "all life is precious" code

When Tobin informs Rick of Carol's note, he wants to head out to find her. Morgan goes with him and they come upon the massacre she created on the road. When they see a bloody trail, they take off across a field looking for her. Rick assesses from their weapons that the gang she killed were saviors which confirms his suspicion that they hadn't seen the last of them. Morgan questions Rick's motives for banishing Carol from the prison. Rick confesses, in hindsight, he agrees with what she did and shouldn't have taken extreme measures. Morgan tells him that if he hadn't done what he did, she wouldn't have been able to save them from Terminus. He confesses everything that happened with the Wolf and that if the Wolf hadn't saved Denise, Denise wouldn't have saved Carl. Everything is circular. As Rick has given up on giving everyone chances, Morgan asks Rick to go back to Alexandria and leave him to find Carol. And if he doesn't return, to just let him go. Rick obliges.

Morgan is making some seriously good points. Rick kind of has gone off the rails, but it is also pretty justified. Man, this show really messes with your morals, doesn't it? When two people are completely correct in their positions, who is right? No one? Both?

Daryl's Fear - His inaction caused Denise's death

He is on a mission to hunt down Dwight after the death of Denise. Michonne, Glenn and Rosita go after him trying to talk sense into him that it was not his fault. Daryl will hear none of it. As they split up, Dwight finds Glenn and Michonne and takes them hostage. Glenn sees Daryl and Rosita approach and tries to warn them, but Dwight puts a gun up to Daryl and shoots.

I'm sorry... what just happened? They really didn't just kill Daryl Dixon, right? Because I literally fear there will be riots. I cannot even deal with the thought. I cannot and refuse to.

Maggie's Fear - Her unborn child's safety

Maggie went and Felicity'd her hair and was immediately rewarded with gut wrenching cramps. It's very early in her pregnancy and any sort of complication could be life threatening for herself and the baby. Without Doctor Denise... who is running the infirmary? Is Enid her only choice for help in this moment?

Rick and Abraham's Fear - Letting someone love them

For our big, strong guys, it's not the threat of walkers or the impending attack from the beehive they just poked; it's letting ladies into their hearts. And if that doesn't speak volumes...

And where does that leave us? Maggie is having stomach pains, Carol is God knows where, possibly bleeding, Glenn, Michonne and Rosita are hostages, Daryl is... I can't... and basically, Alexandria is on the verge of war. As if on cue, lo and behold, from the trailer below, we will FINALLY meet Negan, barbed wire club and all. No spoilers from the comic, but if anything holds true, we are on the verge of losing someone major. And even if it is not that exact character, it's going to be brutal.

I cannot believe it is already time for the finally. I don't think I have been able to catch my breath since February.
