Above all else, can we agree that Ruben Blades (Daniel Salazar) is a badass? Whether battling demons or hearing voices or torching zombie cellars, this dude is legit.

After Strand shot Abigail last week, Celia is less than pleased that he did not follow through on his promise to "go with him" to the afterlife. She demands that everyone leave the following day. Nick, aka, the Celia Whisperer, is able to calm her down by going back to the boat and bringing the zombified Luis back to her cellar. She grants him permission to stay with his family on her property, but Strand still must go. Madison confronts Nick and he basically informs him that he is fearless and pretty invincible amongst these walking dead. Still confused, she turns to her new bestie, Strand who is burying Abigail. He tells her that Nick is still a recovering addict and is looking for someone who believes in him and isn't suspicious of him all the time. Celia is filling that need and has her hooks in him.

Daniel is still all sorts of messed up. He's having nightmares about Ofelia and hearing Griselda's voice. Finally, when he nearly attacks Ofelia, the guards lock him up. Celia tells him that he is going to continue to be haunted by his past until he asks for forgiveness. He winds up having a heart to heart with Griselda (his dead wife... uh huh...) and figures out that his first victim was himself when he was told to kill someone. This enables him with the strength to overpower his guard and escape.
And speaking of issues, Chris is off the deep end. He takes off after his odd confrontation with Alicia and Madison. Travis takes off after him and somehow loses his shoes? (I missed this part. What the heck happened to homeboy's shoes?) He comes upon a house where the owner offers him shoes and water, but he begs him to leave. Travis sees movement in the other room and finds Chris holding the man's little boy hostage at gunpoint. Travis and Chris fight and Chris admits that he is clearly sick and Travis just needs to let him go. Nick, on another one of his blood covered sojourns, finds Travis, but Travis tells him to let Madison know that he couldn't find Travis and Chris. Travis needs to work on Chris and it has to be alone. Nick agrees and heads back to the house.

Celia takes Madison down to the cellar in hopes of showing her that her "pets" are still human. Madison locks her in with them. Daniel heads down with gasoline and sets it all on fire. As Strand is escorted off the property, he finds Thomas' truck and is able to scoop up Ofelia, Madison and Alicia who are running from the flaming property. Madison sees Nick and begs him to get in the truck, but he decides to stay. He informs them that Travis and Chris were nowhere to be found, Daniel most likely died in the fire and he wants to stay to walk amongst the dead where he is comfortable. Strand drives the three girls away as the property burns.

So now, the group is all separated and Strand has turned out to be quite the ally for Madison. With the assumption that Travis, Chris and Salazar are dead and Nick is more comfortable with the dead, our three ladies are headed back to the Abigail with Strand. So where do we go from here? There is a slight chance that Salazar is dead, but I feel as though he would go out in a bigger blaze (pun intended) of glory than an off screen death. And we didn't see Walker Celia either. Is it possible she saved him? She certainly has witch-like tendencies so I wouldn't rule anything out.

If Strand and the gals assume that all those people are dead, can they really leave them all behind and move on? I just can't believe that Madison would leave Nick behind. I feel like after the flames die down (literally), she is going to insist on going back and searching for Travis and Chris along with Nick and Salazar. Is this where the rumored romance between Alicia and Ofelia begins? Or will Nick relent and head to the Abigail to reunite with his family. Regardless, we won't find out for quite a while. A solid beginning to the sophomore season. I am very much looking forward to Part B.
