Are Danny and Mindy ready to take the next step? Thanks to the ultimate betrayal of reading Mindy's diary, Danny is given an unspoken ultimatum and a deadline. That's what you get, Dr. C!

After months of dating, Mindy's sleeping habits are encroaching on Danny's specific (or anal-retentive) lifestyle. He finally concedes to spending the night at her place. However, Dr. Fishman has noticed that Mindy has been skipping out on her teaching rounds. When she catches Tamra covering for her, Mindy is forced to leave Danny alone at her place and go to the hospital. Left alone, Danny finds Mindy's diary. When Morgan shows up unexpectedly, Danny spills wine all over the diary. They take it to calligraphy and forging expert, Jeremy.

During rounds, Mindy encounters an overconfident intern, TJ. In trying to give other interns a chance, TJ files a sexism suit against Mindy. Mindy finally let's TJ know that it wasn't sexism. She knows he's the smartest and will be super successful, but he's also kind of a tool. And if you can't get along with other doctors, you won't be a good doctor. A rare moment of sincerity and truth. Dr. Fishman is impressed at her teaching.

As Jeremy is transposing the diary, he finds out that Mindy was pretty pissed at Danny after he didn't propose to her one night and instead went on a political tirade about Mayor de Blasio. Danny is outraged, but Morgan and Jeremy think she may be right. In her diary, she said she's giving him until Christmas to propose. Danny's mom thinks they should break up. Danny races to get the diary back to Mindy's before she notices. He succeeds, but the damage is done. Will he propose or are we headed for a breakup?

I always appreciate when we get slight snippets into Dr. Reed's private life. It's so weird and so entertaining. It's nice to see him being useful, even if it is for the forgery of someone's most private thoughts.

With the recent news that FOX ordered six more episodes to make it an actual complete series, maybe we have a little more hope for another season. It feels like these plotlines were preparing for the series to end, just in case. What's the game plan now? Do we marry these kids off or do the usual breakup and get back together again? I'm just hoping for another plane kiss type cliffhanger for the holiday break with a scene I can replay over and over again until next year.

MVP - Danny Castellano, for no other reason than the fact that he calls his butt, "Danny, jr."

Runner Up - Tamra for waxing poetic in her role as Doctor.

Lines I Love:

  • Mindy - Do you think I'd actually sign a petition to raise the minimum wage? What, so Morgan eat caviar? I don't think so.

  • Danny - Oh God, it's like Grey Gardens in here. I'll be smothered by a collapsing tower of chotskies.

  • Danny - Aw, Mindy's got the same neck massager as Ma.

  • Mindy - You know what they call me around here? "Sarge!" Tamra - Actually, that didn't stick. We still call you "Meatball." You better listen to Meatball!

  • Jeremy - You've only been dating for seven months, but you've known each other for seven years. That is a common law marriage, like I have with my houseman, Pao.

Is seven months too soon? The commitment-phobe in me says, "YES," but the Danny/Mindy fan in me says "Hell no!" I want to see Bridezilla Mindy! My prediction? After an awkward confrontation, I'm guessing the compromise will be moving in together. There was way too much time spent focused on how hard it would be for them to live together. I am thinking this is the next hurdle the couple will face and maybe we'll get to the wedding somewhere down the line. Season Four perhaps? (Are you listening, FOX? We need more Mindy!)
