THE FLASH is back Tuesday on the CW. You didn't think there wouldn't be any repercussions to Barry (aka THE FLASH, played by Grant Gustin) tearing a hole into the sky at the end of last season, did you?

Get ready for the Multiverse: One of DC Comics' most confusing plot constructs to non- comic book fans, the concept of multiple timelines/universes takes front and center this season and we all saw it coming. Season 1 ended with a hole being ripped in the sky. Among the debris that came through was the winged helmet belonging to the original Golden Age Flash, Jay Garrick. Garrick will be played by Teddy Sears.

Given the mid-season replacement LEGENDS OF TOMORROW is a spin-off of both THE FLASH and ARROW, expect several timey-wimey moments to happen as a set up for LEGENDS as that new show has time travel as an intricate aspect of its plot. Barry and crew will be laying the groundwork (and setting the ground rules).

This season's big baddie: Last season brought us Eobard Thawne (aka Reverse Flash; played by Tom Cavanagh), this season we have the time-traveling villain Zoom (voiced by Tony Todd of "Candyman" fame).

New hero: Keiynan Lonsdale ("Insurgent") has been cast as Wally West. In the comics, Wally initially adopts the moniker "Kid Flash" and eventually takes over as Flash when Barry disappears. Showrunners aren't saying just yet that the TV character will follow in the speedy footsteps of his comic book counterpart, though.
