Canteen Outlaws, the new label from veteran LGBT giant TLA Releasing, has announced the DVD release of The Last Match, the latest film from writer/director Antonio Hens (Clandestinos). The film is available as of today, July 8 at retailers nationwide and online (SRP $24.99).

Since its premiere at Outfest, The Last Match has won praise from critics and audiences alike at festivals across the country, including Qfest, the Honolulu Rainbow Film Fest, ImageOut and Reeling, where it was hailed as "revelatory in its realism; its Passion is taut and unbridled - fearless by any comparison."

In this romantic and sexually charged drama, Reiner and Yosvani are best friends and soccer mates in steamy Havana, Cuba. In order to support his mother, wife and baby, Reiner prostitutes himself to older male foreigners on the waterfront. The shy Yosvani is reluctantly engaged to a wealthy girl and lives with her bombastic loan shark father.

Sharing a kiss at a nightclub, the two men succumb to their desires, followed by a lusty rooftop encounter where they quickly fall hard for one another. But as their love intensifies, the challenge is not with them but with the unforgiving outside world they exist in... a world they so desperately want to escape from.
