Anthony Hopkins, Andy Garcia to Star in HEMINGWAY & FUENTES

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Anthony Hopkins will portray American writer Ernest Hemingway in the new film HEMINGWAY & FUENTES. Andy Garcia, who will portRay Fisherman, Gregorio Fuentes, is set to direct the film. Annette Bening will take on the role of Hemingway's third wife, Mary Welsh Hemingway.

Garcia penned the script with the help of Hemingway's granddaughter Hilary. Commented Garcia, "Anthony is one of the greatest actors, and I"d heard he"d been interested in playing the character in the past. I"m blessed that he responded." Garcia's CineSon Production Company in association with Walson’s Sunrider Productions will produce the film. 

HEMINGWAY & FUENTES will tell the story of the writer's relationship with the Cuban fisherman who inspired him to write The Old Man & The Sea.  The project is set to begin shooting in January of 2013.
