Amy Coleman Named Executive Producer of New Syndicated Talk Show 'Jeff Probst'

Former 'Oprah Winfrey Show' supervising producer Amy Coleman has been named executive producer of CBS Television Distribution's new syndicated first-run talk show Jeff Probst, it was announced today by AaRon Meyerson, President of Programming and Development for CTD.

Coleman, who served as a consulting producer on the pilot, joins host Jeff Probst as executive producer.

"Amy is a talented and creative producer who spent years working for the best - Oprah Winfrey. Her pedigree can't be beat," Meyerson said. "We're thrilled to have Amy leading our team."

Probst added, "Amy and I really meshed when we shot the pilot. We have similar sensibilities, and she knows how to produce a top-notch, quality talk show. I'm excited that she's coming on board for the series."

Coleman spent 16 years at "The Oprah Winfrey Show," beginning in 1994 as an associate producer and rising to the position of supervising producer. As a senior staff member at Harpo Productions, Coleman helped lead the most successful team in daytime television, producing hundreds of shows and overseeing some of the show's most memorable moments, including Oprah's historic interview with Nelson Mandela, her trip to Auschwitz with Elie Wiesel, the moving Season 25 special featuring 200 adult male survivors of childhood sexual abuse, the surprise "flash mob" dance on Chicago's Michigan Avenue, Oprah's first television interview with President Barack Obama, her interview with George W. Bush during his first presidential run, the exclusive interview with Ralph Lauren and his family at their Colorado ranch and Oprah's Ultimate Australian Adventure.

Prior to joining "Oprah," Coleman spent seven years working her way through the ranks at WFLD-TV, Chicago, from assignment editor to news producer, ultimately producing documentaries and sweeps series for the Special Projects division. Before that, she was a news-writer, editorial assistant and video journalist with CNN-Headline News in Atlanta.

Hosted and executive produced by the Emmy Award-winning "Survivor" host Jeff Probst, Jeff Probst will debut in fall 2012. The one-hour talk show will cover topics ranging from relationships and family dynamics to newsmakers of the day to families and individuals facing challenges.

Jeff Probst is currently sold in more than 80% of the country, including 24 of the top 25 markets, for a fall 2012 launch.
