Amanda Seyfried Joins 'Les Mis' Co-Star Hugh Jackman in PETER PAN Film

Variety reports that Amanda Seyfreid has signed on to the cast of Warner Bros upcoming PETER PAN film. The 'Les Mis' star, who will take on the role of 'Mary,' joins previously announced cast members Levi Miller, who will play Peter Pan; Hugh Jackman, who will portray the pirate Blackbeard; Garrett Hedlund, as Hook; and Rooney Mara in the role of Tiger Lily.

Jack Charles, Taejoo Na, Nonso Anozie, Kathy Burke, Kurt Egyiawan, Lewis MacDougal and newcomer Leni Zieglmeier round out the cast. Joe Wright will direct.

The project, written Jason Fuchs, will be a new take on the classic tale. Set during WWII, it follows "an orphan who is kidnapped by pirates and brought to Neverland, where he discovers he's destined to save the land from the pirate Blackbeard."

Seyfried will next be seen on the big screen in A Million Ways to Die in the West, While We're Young, Z for Zachariah and Three Little Words.

She has starred in the big screen adaptation of Les Miserables, as well as The Big Wedding, Lovelace, Les Miserables, Gone, The End of Love, In Time, Red Riding Hood, Letters to Juliet, Dear John, Jennifer's Body, Mamma Mia!, Mean Girls and more. Her TV credits include Veronica Mars and Big Love.
