Beginning Saturday, February 7, all six seasons of the award-winning comedy series Schitt’s Creek will be available to stream on HBO Max in the U.S. The news follows the recent passing of Catherine O'Hara, whose acclaimed performance in the series as Moira Rose won her an Emmy Award.
Schitt’s Creek follows rich video-store magnate Johnny Rose, his soap-star wife Moira, and their two kids, son David and socialite daughter Alexis. When they lose their fortune and suddenly find themselves broke, they are forced to leave their pampered lifestyle behind and regroup in the quirky small town of Schitt’s Creek.
HBO Max subscribers will also have access to a newly launched Schitt’s Creek playlist via the in-app “channels” feature, offering a seamless and continuous on-demand feed of the series.
During a season five episode of the series, BroadwayWorld got a shout-out from Moira Rose, where she suggests taking out an ad on BroadwayWorld for her community theatre production of Cabaret. Check out the clip here.
Created by Dan Levy and Eugene Levy, Schitt’s Creek is produced by Not a Real Company Productions. The series stars Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, Dan Levy, Chris Elliott, Emily Hampshire, Jennifer Robertson and Annie Murphy. Licensed by Paramount Global Content Distribution and ITV Studios.
