Fox 2000 just acquired the rights to the graphic novel (Archaia Publishing). Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past) is producing alongside McKenna.

ROCHESTER is a modern version of Charlotte Bronte's 1847 novel, which follows an orphan girl -- Jane Eyre -- who falls in love with Edward Rochester, who owns the estate where she eventually works as a governess.

McKenna has also written the screenplay for Kenneth Branagh's upcoming live-action adaptation of Cinderella and is working on the new film version of the musical Annie, as well as A Season in Central Park. Her other writing credits include: We Bought a Zoo, I Don't Know How She Does It, Morning Glory, 27 Dresses, Laws of Attraction and Three to Tango.
