Alec Baldwin to Host NBC's NFL HONORS, 2/4

The Hollywoodreporter.com reports that actor Alec Baldwin will be hosting the debut broadcast of NBC Sport's NFL HONORS, which will air on the evening before the Super Bowl. 

The 30 ROCK star will anchor the show which will present awards for the best players and plays to both current and former NFL stars.  The two-hour special will air on NBC on February 4th from 9-11 p.m./et. The network has announced that it plans to make the broadcast an annual event, with awards such as the Associated Press Most Valuable Player of the Year, AP Coach of the Year, AP Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year, AP Comeback Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Play of the Year.

Among past NFL players who will be appearing on the show are Jerry Rice, Barry Sanders, Deion Sanders, Shannon Sharpe and StEve Young. The NFL network will air an awards pre-show beginning at 8:00 pm that evening.

The ceremony will take place in Indianapolis' Murat Theater. The city will be hosting Super Bowl XLVI. Singer Lenny Kravitz is set to perform on the program as well.
